Replacement boxes for both regular and silver proof sets.

Replacement boxes? Was there some widespread defect with them?

The first box was the one sent out initially; the second is the replacement box.

Personally, although the second image definitely is more "aviation related" and thematic, I'm not sure that a wholesale replacement was necessary...
Perhaps they had to replace the boxes because of a licensing restriction or disagreement to the original photo.

There are much better pictures of Tina Turner out there also.
I think I remember reading...maybe in CW...that the family objected that they didn't use a picture of her in uniform.
Oh well...that was quite an expense/effort to address the issue.
You might be right, but I also note “Smithsonian” in the credit area by the first Bessie Coleman pic. Perhaps it was due to “rights” not obtained?

As an editor, FWIW, I would have selected the original pic too...better overall image.
