in U.S. Coin Forum

Got a late stage D/S 1952 Lincoln Cent and a nice Kennedy AH I wish to submit.

Do I check the Variety attribution box even though I have already used the PCGS# ?

Is it redundant and am I just adding to the cost?

    I'm pretty sure that you have to pay the extra fee and check the variety attribution for those varieties to be on the label, but I have not submitted either so hopefully someone that has will chime in.

    All the varieties they grade need the variety attribution box checked (and paid for) unless it is listed in the redbook. All the coins they grade have PCGS#s. The Kennedy proof AH is in Redbook so maybe not needed. They will adjust what they charge you so credit card good idea.

    If you can submit this week, there is a collectors club quarterly special lowering variety cost.

    My understanding is that if it is listed as a Major Variety on the Coinfacts page, you don't need to check the box or pay the fee. Anything under the Minor Variety heading would require the box/fee.

    You can tell which is which if it's in the main sequence or not, like this 56-s/s quarter. You can still pay the variety attribution fee to get the FS# also.
