I picked this coin up back in January and just haven't had a ton of time to really take a closer look at it. Well, I did this morning.

As the picture below states, it's a 1960-D Small Date Omaha Bank Hoard MS-66 RD.

So the slab says it's a Small Date, but when I compare it to the image below from US Coin Book's website. It looks like the large date to me.

    It looks like a small date to me. As one hopefully helpful marker, look at the shape of of the 0 in the date.

    It’s the small date, check out the 6 and see how there isn’t much space between the opening as compared to the large date. The zero is a touch more oval on the small date too.

    I look at the ends of the 6's and 9's.

    The small dates have a "hook" and the large dates are more rounded.

    Agree with MFeld.
    Just go by the shape of the zero.
    If it is oval shaped, it is a Small Date.
    If it is round, it is a Large Date.
    Yours is oval so it is a Small Date.

    Thanks all.

    What was throwing me off was the bottom part of the loop on the 9's height relative to the lower inner part of the zero. On the small date picture, it looks flush with the lower inner portion of the zero, when on the large date. It floats above the lower inner portion of the zero.

    I always end up with the same issue when I'm trying to find the DDO on a coin. Sometimes I cannot find it because I just don't know what I'm looking for lol.

    Historically, the OBH pedigree has received no premium and, in fact, might result in the coins being slightly less liquid.
