    Welcome to the forum
    Partial Grease Filled Dies are fairly common and can occur
    on any denomination. They generally don’t add any value.

    It’s neat to get a wheat. Get a Whitman folder for it. Find its brothers and put them in with it.

    I can see him keeping it, it's an oddball. But, like said, it's just caked-in grease. We kept these, though, too, when we were younger. They're kind of cool.

    I keep a Whitman for things that I can’t toss. I’d put it there, maybe the jar.
