First question that I post here.

I have a few US coins that I want to sent to be graded.
This is the second Standing Liberty Quarter that I have from 1926-P

If this is sent to be graded, can it takes an straight grade?, noticed the leg on the left side:

Also, no full head no?

Thank you.

    Thanks!

On the other quarter, that it is part of the set for grading, notice the date and the numbers that look wider, is this normal? is a variety?

    Versus

For the 1917, there is a difference in the numerals in the date between type 1 and type 2. Your top and bottom photos are a type 2 while the middle one is a type 1.

Collector and dealer in obsolete currency. Always buying all obsolete bank notes and scrip.

10-4 - I see that it is the armor the difference between the two types - got it!

In hand that surface mark, it is light, not deep.

If it is a scratch, it will be "Details." The mark is pretty wide too.

Thanks a lot for the comments, that helps, per the last two, these two coins are out for grading, can remain in the box as is.

The 1926 is about a $75 coin raw and a $75 coin slabbed.

I am not going to sell these few coins from the U.S. that I have for years now, just want it to have them graded and slabbed as the many of my world coins, I am more in collecting world coins.

And just curios, is that $75 because of the condition, that can get details if graded or based on the pictures?

AU straight grade price. If it details graded, it's worth less than the cost of the slab.

The flat knee on the 1926 is just a strike deficiency.

It would be good to see the reverse.

MS66 taste on an MS63 budget.

On the 1926 the knee is somewhat flattened from contact with other coins.
But it is still technically uncirulated and original in appearance, so I think it would grade MS62.

The 1917 (Type 2) appears to be gradeable at AU55.

The coin he is asking about has a damaged knee! If that coin gets straight graded by any TPGS its owner will get an education from anyone HONEST he tries to sell it to.

LOL, I should think that In order to really answer the question about the knee on the '26 quarter someone should ask to see its edge and the container you keep it in as well as its reverse.

it's more interesting because you can tell your collecting buddies harrowing stories about how Lady Liberty got her shrapnel injury

    On the other quater

I don't like the knee and not liking the rusty corrosion areas of the '26. Get them slabbed if you like and please post your results....love to see how they grade. And please go to the edit button and correct your spelling of quater...it's quarter.

The 26 should grade AU55. The flat spot on the knee is wear.

    Have a good day, Gary

The forum prefers, or needs the full coin in the photo and obviously the other side.

Glad you didn’t clean it. Some would have been tempted to dip.
