Here's my set of 1859 quarters. See if you can guess the grades.

All 3 are VF25

Ok, looked them up after my guess. that's.... interesting. I guess i need to spend time looking at this series before buying any.

This was really tough for me this time. The first coin looks 35 on the obverse but 30 or less on the reverse. I graded the second coin a 20. However, once again I was split between 35 and 30 on the third coin.

35, 25, and 20 Before reading previous comments. Might be on the low side, but sticking with my initial gut feelings.

I still see merit in how older tpg split grades bc unequal wear/issues.

They are going to have to tell me why #1 coin is not graded higher than #3 coin
    I'm not seeing it :/

I would stick with 35,30,30. I feel PCGS undergraded these.

All 3 are VF25. Personally I think they should be 35,30,25.

You're paying for an opinion on any given day.

I can see the San Francisco mint as a 25.

I didn't respond because the O and S mints were tough to grade from the images. However, I have to say the P-mint is clearly of higher grade than the other two. Interesting that all of them are VF25.

That 59-S is tough in any grade. I agree you could get an upgrade on the first coin. What you actually had to pay is more important than what grade was assigned in my opinion, but congrats on having all three. James

The first coin may have been net graded to 25. It looks like an old cleaning that was forgiven.
