Nothing major , but I really like early seated dimes and when I saw this at a dealers website, I had to have it.
All I had to go by are at these pictures. How would you grade it? The dealer graded it EF.

AU50 wouldn't surprise me. It seems to be well struck and damage free. Possible light burnishing to bring out the high points. I like it.

I think that the dealer was accurate-XF45.
I like it too- EF45 would be my floor. Not writing that anyone needs to agree with that. I think 50 is possible, but I am not going there without seeing the fields in hand.

I would agree with @Crypto and feel a 53 very possible, but around the stars appears to be a very old cleaning. If not I would be surprized if less than 50 and great shot at 53.

AU cleaned, might be retoned enough for a straight grade though.

Not an ideal photo to judge by with 100% accuracy, but it appears to be nice. I think it would straight grade at AU-50.
Xf45. I like it.
It has a good strike, but XF is a safe bet.

Many of these have had old cleanings. Very nice undamaged coin though.
XF Details, I’d wager. Probably wiped a long, long time ago.

The toning is a little dark for me, but the piece looks like a great strike with awesome detail left on it.

Luster is necessary to obtain an AU grade, coins with AU detail and no luster likely get graded as XF.

A % of intact Mint surfaces is required for the AU range. Not all (types of) mint surfaces impart luster but all original luster stems from intact mint surfaces. Frost and grain count as original mint surfaces too such as hidden in the devices and wreath. I apologize if you were using luster as shorthand for surface preservation. Just trying to set the record straight for the people who absorb their grading skills from reading on here.
