The trifecta of McCarthy, Corum and Wilson = Michigan 34-21

And you say?

I don’t follow college football close enough but for the casual observer I think Michigan plays much harder competition. But I really like Washington’s QB.

I dont know why so many people seem to think JJ is some sort of elite QB, hes not.

Washington has the best QB and the two best WRs, Michigan has the best RB but Washington has a very good one as well. Both have very good offensive lines.

Michigan has the more talented roster overall and Washington would be the first team to win it all with a roster that is less than half of 4 and 5 stars. That said Washington has won about 4 or 5 games this year that they should have lost so theres no reason to think they cant do it again

I remember the Los Angeles Times Sports headline from the 1978 Rosebowl...

    MOON OVER MICHIGAN

Michigan was a heavy favorite and lost. Warren Moon was the quarterback for the Huskies- he put on quite a show in a stunning upset win 27-20. The score was closer than the game.

I see a UW win Monday Night but it should be a great game

I can't stand either of them and simply don't care. What could be worse than UW and UM playing for the NC? Oh, there is Notre Dame and Alabama, or MewSC...... :o Ok, nevermimd, nothing worse.

Penix is totally over-rated and will be a flame out in the NFL. Michigan cheats to win. What could be better? :#

Maybe Michigan runs the ball 32 times in a row to keep the ball away from Washington. They did that in a game this year. In the second half they did not throw one pass. Forgot which game. With that in mind I will say Michigan 31-17. Just as good as any prediction.

I bet Washington so Michigan will probably win by a last second TD

Against my PSU team - that was mostly because PSU’s D ends were destroying the Michigan tackles. It’s certainly an approach to slow down UW as I don’t know that their front can stop Michigan.

I got what I wanted from them when they knocked Alabama out - I’ll be rooting for Washington, but I think Michigan pulls it out, maybe 37-34.

    Wrong team is favored.

I'll say UW 34-30, in a nail biter. Penix is the best athlete on the field, and he'll likely be the difference.

It was Penn State. The last pass they attempted was with 7 minutes left in the second quarter

Looks like @BLUEJAYWAY may be a prophet, there's really no need to pass if you can run effectively like Michigan is doing.

Washington should never try and run the ball again and Michigan should never try and throw the ball again. If Washington wins its a Michigan failure

Looks like time for Washington to fly through the air. Watch for the INT. Only chance for the over is a tie at 27 and OT.

On paper this is the least talented combined rosters weve ever seen in the National Championship in the playoff era and its certainly lived up to that. We need to end the talk of Penix and especially JJ being elite QBs. Penix has missed numerous open deep throws and both just throw short passes and rely on yards after catch

Penix is not elite and never was. JJ though theres really no defending he should be in any conversation of even being a top qb.

Washington had their chances. Michigan gave them those chances. Despite my picking Michigan, not a great game. Would of liked to seen a more competitive, back and forth game. I would rate it a C.

Well, got close with the score prediction. I had it at 48 total,31-17. Should of made an under bet.

You actually nailed it other than in a row. They did run it 32 times (36 if you count QB scrambles). Another great game from JJ being 10/18 and 140 yards lol. Corum almost ran for more yards than JJ passed for

I didn't think Washington would score many points. They play defense in the BIG.

Super-happy with the outcome of the game, of course. Michigan did exactly what they needed to do - hit Washington in the mouth and forced Penix to try and make throws under duress. He showed over and over during the season that he would fling up wild throws if pressured and he did that again tonight. JJ wasn't asked to do much and didn't have to. He was easily the most accurate he's been in a couple months. End of the day, if you can put up 300 yards rushing, you don't need your QB to do much and that was the formula tonight.

JJ is not an elite QB lets just all admit that now. Michigan is best when they take the ball out of his hands. Penix was shown to be what he is and threw two really bad picks, he cant run either. Michigan did what was expected and beat a team they were significantly better than on paper and now Harbaugh likely goes to the NFL and we see what the NCAA punishments will be

Congratulations to Jim Harbaugh and Michigan, happy to see him lead his alma mater to a national championship victory. I've really enjoyed watching Michigan the past three years, win or lose they always came to play.

Now will the NCAA vacate Michigan's wins after the investigation?

Louisville lost their basketball title for less. Its dumb vacating titles and even dumber if it happens here. Michigan is facing multiple level 1 violations though. Harbaughs agent has been contacted by the Chargers and Washington, hes almost certainly leaving for the NFL if he gets a head coach offer

They played the Championship Game to show who is the best team in the country. After last nights game there is no doubt. The best team in the country is Georgia.
