Cherry picked my own inventory!

Many years ago I set back a box of lincolns to be worked on later. Well today I moved that box for the hundredth time and while looking through it quickly I noticed this lincoln cent

1917 DDO.

I was pretty surprised honestly.

Any grade opinions?

My camera takes terrible pictures I swear it seems like the better the rest of the phone gets the worse the camera gets

I’ve found two RPDs that I didn’t know that I had.

I bought this straight graded 39-S years ago and broke it out for my Washington Dansco album. It was there for years, until I went back and started double checking coins more closely. It was a DDO.

I submitted it to ANACS. The only problem, it came back one grade less. 😖

There are some odd looking scratches on the bowtie and lapel. Possibly tooled, but don't know why somebody would do that.

Successful BST with ad4400, Kccoin, lablover, pointfivezero, koynekwest, jwitten, coin22lover, HalfDimeDude, erwindoc, jyzskowsi, COINS MAKE CENTS, AlanSki, BryceM

some people got more time time on their hands than sense.

“I believe in intuitions and inspirations. I sometimes feel that I am right. I do not know that I am. When two expeditions of scientists, financed by the Royal Academy, went forth to test my theory of relativity, I was convinced that their conclusions would tally with my hypothesis. I was not surprised when the eclipse of May 29, 1919, confirmed my intuitions. I would have been surprised if I had been wrong. I am enough of the artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.” Albert Einstein- quoted in Saturday Evening Post interview (1929)

“Whoever is careless with the truth in small matters cannot be trusted with important matters.” For Einstein, honesty was fundamental. Attention to truth in small things reflected a person’s integrity on a larger scale.

Soory, I need to see both sides of a coin before I attempt to grade it. But, Congrats on this oreat find!!! I love this DDO, I have never found one in any wheat cent search or coin roll search. Ok a one sided call - VF obverse.

I’m not a Lincoln guy, but even I understand that to be a sweet find… congrats.
I’d give the obverse a VF-30 grade if it straight grades, however the light damage on Abe’s lapel and bow tie might ‘details’ it.

    Got Crust....y gold?
