My guess based on condition is original or early restrike.

Any example with SF under the portrait is a restrike. There are only a dozen or so originals known.

Very cool!
We have an expression in Greek for such coins, that could be translated as “the convict’s dime”, which is pretty much self explanatory, if we think of how many thousands of hours are needed to wear a coin down like this taler and what kind of people can afford to “invest” them for such a purpose.
It is however a free translation, as the late numismatist and good friend who coined the term, was referring to a coin that was one tenth of a monetary unit (like a dime), but his example was much larger than a dime and in copper.
Now, correct me if I’m wrong Don, but it’s been quite some time that you’ve been acquiring similarly worn world coins. And unlike some folks over at the Liteside, you keep them raw. It must be a really nice and unusual set.

I have a few Dimitri. And yes, only raw. I picked up the taler at a local coin show last Sunday. I've never seen one so worn. It probably a 19th C restrike that circulated in Africa.
