ICG coin grading a the FUN show?

I have a Henning Nickel I want to get slabbed. I think ICG is the only TPG service that recognize it. They will be at the January FUN show. Anybody know how this works with them?

Very simple. Take the coin to their booth at FUN, fill out the submission form there, and they’ll take it back to Tampa to encapsulate, and mail it back to you.
Can we see the coin?

A soak in acetone and a sharp toothpick should get the big chunk of crud off the reverse.

How long in the acetone? Also, is there a certain kind o acetone I should get?
You can buy acetone at Home Depot or Lowes.
Soak it overnight. That should soften it up.
Be careful with Acetone.
It's flammable.
Soak it in a glass container with a cover. It will eat through plastic.
I use a short Mason jar. It's about 2 inches tall. Perfect for the job.

Pure acetone from Walmart or any hardware store. I would think an hour or so in a covered glass or ceramic bowl would do it. If it doesn't dissolve that gunk, try pushing it off with a sharp toothpick.

Be careful because the toothpick and removing the black spot can leave a bright scratch or bright spot on the coin.
@Russell12 - It's the real deal. How or where did you acquire it? If you give it an acetone bath, let's see the after results. Yes, ICG is the only TPG'er the with attribute it.
A lot of these Henning Nickels have that scratch on the reverse.

I've always appreciated Randy Campbell's good work and free grade opinions at coin shows.
Why not just let ICG conserve it? I think that only costs ~$10 and they do a great job.
