A couple from one of my mentors’ collection.

Q: When does a collector become a numismatist?

A: The year they spend more on their library than their coin collection.

A numismatist is judged more on the content of their library than the content of their cabinet.

Beautiful coins Steve! Why isn’t that ‘16 SLQ in a 65 holder? Even the rivets are well struck which you don’t usually see on any 16s even in 65.

I have sent it back for Reconsideration, hoping for at least a plus, but no success. It is a beautiful coin. Thank you!

Separately, I love your Seated Quarter that you posted. While most here prefer toned coins, you and I (and many others) just love the look of yours. That's how the designer envisioned it would look! Enjoy!

@winesteven thanks so much Steve, but honestly, I wasn’t fishing for a compliment on my coin. Nice of you to say and even if the coin was dipped before being certified, I just love the look of it in hand. Plus, PCGS saw it fit to even 65+ it!

Here is an 1836 quarter, also in an XF40 holder which seems low to me.

Love your quarters @spacehayduke! Great color and originality. I've got only one, posted many times, but it's all I got!

If you’re only going to have one it might as well be a Tony Tiger coin- GREAT!

That 1805 in fine is a gorgeous looking coin.

If all 'fines' looked like that, wouldn't that be a great looking set to collect.

@EastonCollection i love that 1825 B1. That one belongs in the “bust boo-boos” thread also.

@Wahoo554 the draped bust quarters are really hard to find with color!

@spacehayduke = really nice looking 25 B-1 - I really like it! My B-1 isn't a great picture but in hand, its nicely toned and original - FYI- its CAC too. These CBQ series are really very tough to fine nice ones! Great thread- thank you.
