    $65 and it will come back as damaged. It is NOT an error. It is damaged.

    Ignore the smart alecks teasing you about submissions. None of the coins you have posted are errors.

    No, OP does not understand that. In the ninth level damage and error are interchangeable terms to indicate anything can happen to a coin before it leaves the mint.

    Rim dent=cud
    Scratch=die break
    Die=something on the coin
    DDO, DDR, Double die, RPM=multiple scratches on both sides
    Hole=die gouge
    Full band=shiny with vertical scratches
    Full steps=shiny with horizontal scratches

    Back in my 20’s I was a die gouge magnet.

    And that's where those people lose me. I don't necessarily know how pens are manufactured but I know if I found one smashed in a parking lot, I would immediately know it was damaged and not some valuable manufacturing error.

    Some people are apparently able to suspend any common sense they have when it comes to damaged coins.

    I think part of it is the YouTube videos and Etsy giving people a false hope of finding coins worth thousands. The other part is just ignorance. Instead of actually doing research on their own, they come posting multiple threads wanting a fast answer.

    If they did a bit of research they could come up with conclusions without wasting bandwidth.

    If there were valuable pen errors, you'd probably see the same phenomenon.

    I don't think you are alone, which is why I am surprised that someone hasn't called this out as being the guy that was posting the already graded coins and inciting everyone over FB dimes. Surprised we have not seen his big reveal in one of these threads, but maybe he was just waiting for someone to call him out. If so, I have, can we be done now? Or maybe we need one of the long term incredulous to make it "---OFFICIAL---"

    What makes you think this is the same guy? His writing style and syntax is nothing like the other guy.

    Now if your threads were shut down and you were a repeat offender who had been thrown out of here before, would you come back and identify yourself contextually or syntactically as being the same person, or would you attempt to incite as many people as possible in some new nefarious way?

    A. It's not so easy to change your syntax.
    B. People knew exactly who it was last time.
    C. People come in here all the time with damaged non-errors.
    D. The prior individual ARGUED with everyone. This individual does not.
    E. Occam's razor
