I definitely like what you collect, you collect some very interesting pieces!
I have a stick pin similar, but it’s a gold dollar, so I’m bending the rules on the 1913 just this once.
Even in mere XF, '13-D T2 commands a good price. One just doesn't see this date with a full Buffalo horn offered that often at shows.

@HoledandCreative said: @Asheland Thanks. Nice 1851C pin. Did you see that 53C pin on eBay? I think it brought 601.
I don’t believe I saw that one.
A year or two ago, I forget exactly, the coin shop I work in, the owner bought a collection from a customer, I wasn’t even around when he bought it. Later I was looking at the pile of stuff and I saw the stick pin, turned it over, and without fail it was a Charlotte! At first, I thought it was fake, but we checked it carefully to some certified examples and matched some diagnostics. I ended up buying the piece because it was in great condition considering the fact it was on a pin. It was polished, but not that bad, really, a lot of detail remains…
And I did, indeed, leave it as a stick pin because I find that stuff very cool!

Thank you! Indeed, when I saw it, I was instantly drawn to it very very strongly. I had to have it!
Definitely an example of a coin, talking to me!
Thank you for the compliment.

It's one of the best I've seen. An overlooked very scarce first year coin.

I guess it was a good pick up as my type coin for the Buffalo nickel…
I like to try to find fine examples of each type for my type set.
I am also looking for a nice type one, but I’m very picky, so I’ll have to see that perfect coin before I pull the trigger.
I appreciate everybody’s feedback on this one!
