    That (OP) is a pallendrome note...aka radar note.

    A palindromic number is a number that remains the same when its digits are reversed. In other words, it has reflectional symmetry across a vertical axis.

    Like coins, you have to have the right buyer for it to be worth a premium.

    To the OP: ALL serial numbers are unique. That is what makes it a serial number.

    That's not completely true. You can get identical serial numbers from the different Federal Reserve Banks. A few years ago, the BEP sold matched sets of 12 serial numbers. You would have to include the prefix codes to get truly unique serial numbers.

    LOL. Not really what I was trying to do. Paper money serial numbers are tricky and not appreciated by non-aficionados. True story from this past summer. I had a dealer's estate paper money. It included a low serial number silver certificate. Local coin dealer offered $25 for it. I sold it on eBay for $1500. The dealer didn't appreciate or care about the low serial number while specialists and collectors do.

    Unusual serial numbers like that have a market. Just how much they will bring is speculative but they do sell for a premium.

    I just really know nothing about paper currency, guess that is something I will have to leave for later.

    It’s a Radar serial number. Unfortunately it’s on a circulated $100 with soft corners. If I found it, I’d be tempted to keep it but I definitely wouldn’t spend anything above face to own it. And don’t go putting too much value into that Coolness Index rating. Most of the time it’s rubbish.

    “Leave for later” huh. My mother in law wouldn’t use her China for anything. She said she was saving it for Good. We always wondered who this good guy was but he never showed up And we never used the China as she passed away a few years back. My father in law always said to her “ I sure would like to meet this Good guy you always talk about”.
