Has anyone seen these marks on a coin before?
I received this 2000 D Roosevelt dime in change and noticed that the obverse looked odd. Closer inspection reveals horizontal lines that align well with reeded edge but do not touch the portrait. Reverse is normal except several crush marks on edge. If a close collar was not used to reed the edge , is this a possible minting error or post mint damage deliberately done

or ?
Thank you

Put me in the PMD column. Don't know how, where, when or why but it didn't happen during the minting process. It happened after it left the mint.

Damaged after it left the mint. No way for that to happen when the coin was struck.
Doesn’t really matter how it happened, damage is damage.0 -

Welcome to the forum.
I see it as post mint damage. The bitterness of "Poor Quality" is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.1 -

An unusual pattern, but it happened after it left the mint and is just damage.

Got stuck in a counting / sorting machine.
I have seen that type of post mint damage many, many times.
