Stacks Bowers vids are incredible. Has anyone else experimented with this technique? Here is my attempt.

    You can get creative with a multitude of techniques, including something as simple as swirling your smartphone flashlight around in a circle.

    A very good video you made there. Not sure that 8K resolution is really necessary though, most people can still only display 1080 or 2K on a PC. I only see options on YouTube up to 4K.
    As far as motion photography I don't think anything really compares to DLRC NuTilt, or maybe NuTilt is its own entity that DLRC partnered with, I am not sure... On a cell phone it's almost as if you have the coin in hand. You tilt your phone and the photo lighting changes with it. If you don't have the app I would strongly recommend getting it and giving it a try if for no other reason than to look at a bunch of cool coins.
    I don't know why, but it seems like they are just sitting on this technology and not really promoting or using it much, a shame really. I think this is the best coin photography technology yet.
    I have a playlist of Buffalo nickels that I attempted to show in a similar way. It's not great but it works I suppose.

    Thats funny I had just commented elsewhere that someone should do that - use the phone motion to let you do cartwheels with the light. Going to check their app out now.

    I just uploaded in 8k as a test to compare to the original photos and see how much detail was lost vs 4k. Youtube takes a long time (weeks) to process and make 8k an option on the video though. I also wanted to see if on a phone it would even let you choose 8k since on a phone you can pinch zoom on the youtube app. Would be nice to have zoom on desktop too. I use VLC media player on my PC to zoom in on the original videos with the same res as the photos, 4k x 4k

    now I need to get one of these 2560 x 2880 monitors! 5k and 8k are too expensive but this thing looks perfect
