My lcs owner retired

Doelgers World of coins in Warren NJ has closed. Pete retired after a 40+ run. He held a great customer appreciation day. I picked up 6 so called dollars, a xf 13 buff Ty1, an AU 09 IHC, and a vf 27 SLQ so I am jazzed. Wishing him the best. Peace Roy

My best buys over the years were through my LCS. Hopefully you have a good back up shop in the area.

Sounds like he was a good guy.
Those are some great pickups.
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

Have you thought to take over the shop? How is the coin interest in your parts? You may have a ready list of clientele to work with.
Awesome. Good for him. Mine passed away a couple months back.
enjoy the retirement, you earned it. best wishes
Squirt a drop of mustard on your shirt in recognition.
Good for him. Nice appreciation day too.
I used to go to Pete’s a lot, he had a nice shop in a great area. Pete is a good guy!
Luckily for us there are 3 shops in the area (Green Brook, Bound Brook and Stone House in Scotch Plains).
Sadly I didn’t need anything (or have any hobby budget) so I didn’t go this Sunday.
