Since I get stuck running the picks contest again this year, we will be playing for pride this season, strictly for bragging rights, if you do not wish to participate, I understand. If you do wish to participate, have all of your picks in every week by Thursday. So without further ado, it's time to play the game.

    It might be too late to suggest this, but @doubledragon do you remember the original contest you ran for us a few years back? You used to select four games per week. I really liked that game. You always picked some tough ones, and it made it interesting. My point is...if you wanted to go to a streamlined version like that, to keep it more simple, I'd support it. Either way...

    I thought about that but decided against it, it's more exciting if we pick all the games, I enjoy competing against you guys but I also enjoy competing against myself, I really want to see how good I am at picking winners for all the games.

    It was good to have the season back.

    We've seen it all before. One week does not a season make. Chiefs are obviously very different without Kelce. I think that tonight's results will do both teams some good.

    No, but I wouldn't say that it was their defense that lost them the game. So for now he won't take too much heat I'm sure. Drops were an issue. Going for it on 4th down didn't feel right to me. If the Chiefs had won it at the end, it would have felt like a very winnable game for the Lions. It's not all that easy to go into Arrowhead and win one, let alone opening week like that. The Lions seemed to struggle with their offense, and I didn't come away impressed with the play of Goff. At the end of the day, if you are a Lions fan, the feeling is great. If you are a Chiefs fan, you are permanently entrenched in SB or bust mode.

    KC will be fine, but if they cut Kadarius Toney tomorrow it would be justified

    Yup, he was not good. KC fans are none too happy with him tonight. I agree, KC will be fine. They are at that point where, as we we all watched tonight, it just feels the entire time like they are going to find a way to win. They are atop the hill. Those drops were game changers. Of course, Goff was victimized by his receivers dropping a few of the short ones, do it goes both ways. KC is so dependent on Kelce.
