Looks nice. You might get more responses if you post in the currency forum. Wish I’d get an interesting bill in change…

Looks like someone skipped over the "Forum Etiquette" thread.

It was just a pic of what got me started or interested in coins. Please forgive.

Not being a jerk. It's just your title could have been "what got me started with collecting" or something pertaining to your thread. "When" is basically just a clickbait title.

It's a great error note, just a bad thread title. ;)

Not sure, but it might be rare as far as fold errors go. It looks like the back was printed without the fold, and the front was printed with the paper folded.

I'd post a photo of the note on the Currency forum to see what they say over there about the rarity of that particular error.

Your note has a "gutter fold" error. It's one of the more common error types, especially to find in circulation because the fold may stay shut and unnoticed like your first photo. It's not very valuable but a really cool find!

Isn't it unusual, though, to have one side printed before it was folded, and one after?

Not especially. The collecting and marketing of gutter folds (and printed folds) is generally that the more printing stages containing the error the more it should be worth. In other words, if the fold crossed all three printing stages it would be more valuable.
