I found this coin roll hunting. I scope a number of coins as I love it. This looks like a die brake error. Does it hold value?

Makes a big difference with full photo, you should provide a full photo alongside any closeups.
As mentioned, it his a lamination with partial delamination.
It is not a striking error, it is caused by a faulty planchet.2 -
A "die break" would result in a raised area. Your anomalies are recessed.
Looks like a lamination, or more specifically, a delamination.

Looks like a faulty planchet. Worth keeping, if you collect those. It would be a one of a kind and probably never make a graded list for a set.
