Old Slabs - let’s see them!

The thread on the early years of PSA got me thinking, what do we have out there for early slabs. No lighthouse allowed here!

Take a look in my signature for a link to approximate dates for each label type.

Label style 2, 1992 to 1999..

My lowest cert number…

I do think scans of the older thinner slabs look better than the new ones. Card is obviously closer to the glass, which helps. These are some nice older ones!

What helps the scans look even better is a detailed guide to scanning graded cards.

Hmm.. works on my end. I haven’t heard from others that it is not working. Let me check a few things.

I agree about Frank Robinson being underrated for a player who hit 586 career home runs!

I believe this is a PSA pre-production sample slab. I don't remember where I got it but I've had it for a long time. It doesn't have much value but I thought it was pretty cool.
