What do you think about this 1866-s dime?

I was going to bid on this one if it stayed low, Ended up closing around $810 all in, which was a little more than I was willing to risk. I'm guessing from these pics it's AU details cleaned, what are your thoughts?

Agreed, AU cleaned. Still, seems decent though.

I think it might straight grade.

I would agree AU cleaned but wouldn't be surprised if it straight graded.

AU details, cleaned seems right. An excellent album coin that many collectors will find to be perfectly acceptable. We aren't dealing with 1881-S Morgan dollars here.

    AU details cleaned.

    When in doubt, don't.

Agree, depending on hairlines it's retoned enough that it has a chance.

It really does look like a nice coin. I think whoever won this coin got it at a good price. If it managed to strait grade it would be a big score, but I wasn't willing to get into a bidding war hoping it would.
