Napoleon 20 Francs 1852-1869

Are there any dates in the 1852-1869 Napoleon 20 Franc gold pieces that are rare? It does not appear so, but I’m unfamiliar with them. AU to MS 63 grade range.

    There were a bunch of them in the recent France showcase auction [ heritage }

    You can check out prices realized on those but I don’t think any were rare

    What a nice piece! I get them as often as I see one that I adore. I recently got a 66 and a 65+.

    High grade ones go for some nice bucks, but average to choice uncirculated - close to bullion once you factor in any sellers fees. As for rarity - most if not all seem common.

    Not really, but all are very tough in what the French consider FDC (high end MS66 or +, the auction Bidask cites had one go for $5k). Have this one high end for MS67, super tough. PCGS Paris tends to more lenient on grading than NGC or PCGS California for these.

    Wow dude... breathtaking coin.
