I will keep one for my personal collection and sell the other.
Both coins are 1881cc ogh.

Which would you keep and why?
Also, what do you think are the grades for each coin?
I will post grades in a day or two after some comments.

A is my choice as it seems to have less contact marks.

B seems to have a better strike,so if that matters more to you then go with B.

I would personally choose A because it’s probably a higher grade. B seems to have semi PL fields, but at a lower grade.

Type collector, mainly into Seated. Young Numismatist. Good BST transactions with: mirabela, OKCC, MICHAELDIXON

Initially A, has less chatter and a much better reverse, but would need to see those 2 spots on obverse in hand to know if they would bother me every time I looked at coin.

For me, "B" is my keeper. I notice the chatter on the cheek compared to "A" but I dislike the spot on A and it would bug me on each view. That is the nice thing in this choice; both are otherwise nice, each an OGH -- so B for me.

It may sound silly, but the condition of the hologram on the holder, lack of chips in it, etc. might also make a difference for me. Not light scratches though as the vast majority can be polished out.

I don't like the carbon spot on obv @ 9:00 on A, so I pick B. Maybe its less distracting in hand.

A bothers me less than B due to this crater on B’s cheek:

At first glance, I thought you should keep A and sell B. But after a second, deeper look, I think you should keep B and sell A.

While B's obverse has a bit more chatter than A's obverse, there are issues with A's obverse that stick out. B's reverse appears to be better struck compared to A's reverse IMO as well. And to top it off, I think you'd likely get a little more for A vs. B because of B's obverse chatter.

Both awesome coins, would be excited to have either in my own collection.

The spots, at 2:00 and 9:00 doesn’t really bother me.
    The chatter on B does.
I might also consider selling both and searching for one that was superior to both! POP reports seem to indicate a pretty wide selection in choice MS range. Don’t know how much the older holder means to you, though.

A is cleaner but the 2 spots bother me.
B has more chatter and most likely a lower grade.
    Both are nice though.
Tough for me to recommend which one for you to keep. :|

I myself am on the hunt for this date in 66, preferably in an OGH & CAC
Harder to find than you may think.

As others have noted...the 2 dark spots (9 and 2 oclock) are bothersome and would be an issue for me each time I viewed the coin.
The chatter on the cheek on the "B" coin makes it a lower grade look. That said, I've had some ones that had cheek chatter...all depends on the grade and the fit for you.

I definitely wouldn't keep "A" and I would think about selling "B" if it was graded lower than the rest I had...unless my sole purpose was OGH for it...then you'd have to see if there is anything else out there that you could replace it with. If you reasonably could, I'd by it and sell the other 2.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

    Thank you for the input.
Based on the comments so far I think it would be very interesting to know what everyone thinks are the grades for these coins.

I am editing the original post asking also for guesses on grades.

    B has better eye appeal.

    A...MS 64
    B...MS 63
....A has the spots that are more noticeable while B has more marks...B also looks semi pl (maybe enough to have gotten the PL back in the OGH era)...I would lean towards B

From the pictures, I like A better. It probably grades 64 or 65. I think the spot at 9:00 is a piece of debris that could be removed if you simply poke it with a stick. Too many marks on B.

What you could do is sell both and upgrade to a higher grade or a PL coin. Cherrypick for quality, as there are plenty to choose from.

Based on the comments I think everyone will be surprised on these grades. I am making a ogh Morgan cc set. The ultimate goal (which won’t happen because of cost) is to have ms65/64 set.

I agree with the comments regarding the spots on the obverse for coin A and the marks on the cheek for coin B. That’s why I posted because I am not sure which to keep but the suggestions of selling both and getting a better coin has me thinking.

    Coin A: PCGS ms65 cac
Coin B: PCGS Ms 64 cac

I also included this picture on the original pst page.

I like A better, and I agree with those grades.

    My 1881-CC is also a 65.
    I love the frost.

No big surprises at the grades. Is the spot at 9:00 on the 65 something that looks removable?

I like the 65 but absolutely love the 64. Decisions are hard so I would keep them both. Green label, green sticker excellent eye appeal.......yeah both.

    64 pop: 9071
    65 pop: 5237
    65PL+DMPL pop: 430
    66 pop: 1777

    64 retail: $1000
    65 retail: $1300
    65PL retail: $1550
    66 retail: $1700

It would seem like there's some serious bang for the buck at 65PL.

Messydesk: when I tilt the slab it looks like the spots are on the coin and thus, I think removable. Unfortunately, to do that the coin has to be cracked out and won’t be in an ogh anymore, ugh.

Late to the party. But even after seeing the grade; I tried to objectively grade both (which is very easy for me to do) and I agree that A (The 65) is the better of the two.
