What one player has had the most cards graded by PSA?

My guess is Michael Jordan. He is probably the most popular coupled with the fact that the are oodles and gobs of cheap Jordan cards that have been produced over the years.

Is there a way to confirm?

What are some other players that could compete for the top slot?

Tom Brady?
Derek Jeter?
LeBron James?
Albert Pujols?

    Nolan Ryan, Griffey, Gretzky, and Kobe are making put Pujols way down on my original list. Albert is too modern, I think.

    I think it has to be a player from the "major mass production era". That's why I think Jordan has to be the most.

    Is there a way to find out?

    The most graded individual cards at PSA were the 1990-91 Fleer Jordan #26 (16,000), the 1992-93 Topps O'Neal rookie #362 ($9,500), the 1989 Upper Deck Ken Griffey Jr. rookie (9,400), the 1989-90 Hoops Jordan #200 ($9,300) and the 1993 Topps Derek Jeter rookie #98 (8,000)

    There are over 81,000 1989 Topps Traded Griffey's graded.

    I stopped collecting 1980+ sports cards because of the sheer number of high end cards. The actual number is more important than the % at a given grade, i.e. there are "only" 1.4% PSA-10 1986 Fleer Michael Jordan cards...but then realize that there are 317 PSA-10s! Not rare enough to justify a 6-figure price tag...IMHO.

    I have no clue, but if I had to put my money on somebody, it would be Michael Jordan. He kind of falls into a sweet spot where his early cards are still worth a good price even if they are ungraded, but played into an era where there were tons of cards printed of him.

    I would assume that Griffey has the most graded rookie cards, but the fact that Upper Deck printed so many of them really hurts the value, and I don't see Griffey's post-rookie year cards being as desirable as Jordan's - or even his non-Upper Deck rookies for that matter - but you never know. I wouldn't be surprised if Griffey did have the most.

    Good post, I agree with your thoughts. I would add that Nolan Ryan doesn't have nearly as many first year cards graded (just under 12,000) but his 1986 Topps card in PSA 10 was going for $1,000.00 a while back. That would lead me to believe people are submitting almost 20 years of his cards (maybe more? His 1991 Stadium Club tuxedo card goes for $250.00).
    I would guess Ryan could be #1 in total cards graded.
    I'm wondering how many Griffey cards were submitted after 1992?
