I have about a 1/2 million cards from the 80s and 90s that I want to get rid of. Any suggestions would be appreciated!! Thanks

    I've been collecting since 1990 and have loads of cards in that category.

    I'm considering donating them to Goodwill.

    I believe donating is a good way to go - but ya never know? Some of the early 80s may be worth keeping (depending upon condition?).

    I'd keep sets from 80 and 83 for sure. If your sets are organized, and you can do this timely, I'd probably pull all the notable rookies. Other option is you take a buncha pics, put it on Facebook Marketplace, and take offers for a week or two. There's people out there that will take on mamoth collections like this, but just be transparent what you have. If you want to save the trip to Goodwill, from my experience, if you put a number of boxes on the curb, they'll be gone by sundown.

    As suggested earlier, I've dropped off late 80's and early 90's "junk" at Goodwill.

    I knew a collector who sorted them into team bags and gave them to a card shop. The shop owner handed them out at kid's trade nights in the store. A little bit of work, but they get into the hands of future collectors.

    You could also give them out at Halloween. A handful of candy and 1990 Fleer cards. ;)

    Donate to a church or some type of youth charity.

    If you itemize your tax returns, donate 5k worth each year until youre out of them

    Couple of cents at most. I wouldnt advise going over 5k a year as it becomes a little more difficult as the IRS becomes a little less trusting above that
