ANNA MAY WONG QUARTERS AVAILABLE 10/25/2022 -- MAYBE

Glen2022Glen2022 Posts: 949 ✭✭✭✭

Mint indicates most of the bag, 2 and 3 roll sets accounted for through enrollments and may not be available on 10/25 unless
inventory becomes available, presumably due to cancellations or returns.

What do you think of the long term prospects of the S minted quarters. Any chance of significant price appreciation in a few years? Only 304,800 being minted, plus those in proof sets. Anyone buying or have enrolled to buy?

    Yup. Enrollment.
I believe the S uncirculated quarters ( hang on a second)

Hum, check back later , my best source is not ready for a prediction. My gut feeling is perhaps 😁

It will be interesting to see the mintage of the 2023-S Quarters.

Missing the Angelou Hopefully I’ll find a set next year or get lucky between now and the end of the year and get one when they become available for a second before the sold out sign goes up. Folks have gotten lucky before and $54 is soooo much nicer than $200. 😁

NBC News ran a feature story about the Anna May Wong quarter on it's Nightly News broadcast of October 19. This could generate interest from the general public. The American Women Quarters may have a brighter future than the quarter series that preceded them.

    All glory is fleeting.
  • All the 2022-s quarters seem to have the same mintage 7620 rolls.

On the plus side, many collectors and investors will be keeping the S quarters in original rolls, further restricting the supply of singles for those assembling complete sets.

On the minus side, many collectors are only collecting the P and D circulation strikes, and many albums do not include spaces for the uncirculated "S" quarters.

One per year per subscription. Not sure how to interpret that in Mint lingo.

No I don’t think so as the S roll is uncirculated not proof.
    7260 rolls is it 😁

I also got the email cutting subscription to 1 roll set from 3. Has the mint previously cut subcriptions/orders? I wonder what criteria was used. Just the little guy? How about the flippers? I know some people bought many 3-roll sets of previous quarters. If everyone got cut to 1 set, I would think that some would be available on the release date. Some listings on Ebay for the three roll set showing multiple sets available.

I think this would affect eBay presales for sure.

I had two enrollments one for 1 set and one for 2 sets. My email says my enrollment for 1 has been changed to 0 and as others it says all duplicate enrollments have been changed to 0 as well. So I get 0? The USM did this same type of thing with the Wilma Mankiller and I got just 1 set while others some on this forum could order 20. I only order for myself/family/ friend I had committed to. The USM may finally have convinced me to stop buying their products. They can certainly go _ off.

Could it be that your enrollment for 1 was your "duplicate" enrollment? What email did you get for the enrollment for 2?

@JBK Anything is possible - just the one email

edit to add iit does say "all duplicate subscriptions have been set to 0 as well" I don't know how to post it, but on the other string on this topic a similar email is posted.
