    I would need depends with a backup layer and 3 days to ponder whether this was safer than jumping out of a perfectly good airplane.

    That’s funny safety standards of the 60’s.Let me tell you about the safety standards of the early 1970’s.In Ohio my brothers,neighborhood kids never had a bike helmet or knee pads and if you did you would be called a political-incorrect name or get punched maybe.
    We all had pump pellet guns and even real bow and arrows.In 3rd and 4th grade we played with cherry bombs and M-80’s that would probably blow your fingers off.
    And I remember getting a wood burning kit for Christmas maybe in 3rd.grade.
    Ha!Ha!I would never let my kids or grandkids near any of this stuff at those ages.I guess that was a different time and still have all my fingers.

    @VegasDan Well, I grew up in the 50's and 60's and safety was a word that was never explained to the kids in our little neighborhood. If you thought of it, we did it.

    If you have ever see a military jet try to break the sound barrier - this is what it looks like. This FA18 Super Hornet is trying, but it looks like no cigar for them
