I really love the Peace Dollar, I hope Dansco makes an album for my mint 2021 - ? series Morgan and Peace dollars. I only have the 2021 Peace Dollar, in MS70.

Thought I'd compare our TrueViews. I only have the one also in MS70.

To me, the Peace dollar is the most beautiful US silver coin.

It's definitely up there. Strictly for the artwork it's really a masterpiece. If they weren't so common they might be priceless.

Thanks for the thread. Like a trip through Harry Winston's.

Bought this as part of a group from David Hall about 30 years ago. The dip residue has toned over the years. Is this covered under the PCGS guarantee? ;) lol

    Talking about "non-traditional."
You can't get more non-traditional, than my family's traditional Dollar!
    :D
Here I have another 1926s P.D. The only difference, is that is has been self engraved
which, instantly makes it a Detailed coin.
However, by my father doing this to, not only my younger brother, Jeff's coin. He also did this to all his 4 other children.
When his kids were born. He self engraved
all our names/birthdays in each Peace or Morgan Dollars.
Well, I sent three in to our Host to be holdered with a special title.
    "Dad's Dollar."
    PCGS contributed in great fashion.
    Thank You, PCGS!

    THE COIN

    Jeff's, Peace Dollar.

Sorry guys, if you heard my story before. Lol.
I'll never get tired of telling it!

What a great series--beautiful coins, both obverse and reverse, and affordable, so that an ordinary mortal can accumulate a complete set of very attractive coins without breaking the bank.

@JoeyCoins re your over polished dollar. Looks over scratched to me! Could it be both?

A lot of beautiful Peace Dollars. Keep them coming. In case anyone didn't know this was the model for the Peace Dollars.

Teresa Cafarelli de Francisci was the model for the depiction of Liberty on the obverse of the Peace Dollar, which was designed by her husband Anthony de Francisci.

She was a very pretty lady.

    @Floridafacelifter , you're killing me. That '22 proof is just plain S I C K.

My very first Dansco set to be completed was the Peace Dollars.
Was very surprised when a lady customer from Pakistan brought in a very tarnished Peace dollar to purchase groceries at my friend's store about two and a half years ago at the onset of the pandemic lockdown and the clerk had put it to the side since being unfamiliar with the coinage.
Following archive pics are not the greatest in terms of quality but it still holds a special place in my heart since it was a sweet series to cobble together.

Edited to add a few culls that I had picked up for very cheap and sent to ANACS just for the heck of it, to see what they would come back as.

After reading your post I checked my 1934 D and have the vam 3 DD Obv Medium D. PCGS MS64 with CAC. Is there a premium for the vam?

There is a slight premium for the vam 3 due to being a naked eye double die but that premium shrinks as it goes up in grade due the higher price of base coin in 64 and higher. The Vam 4 is the money coin which is scarce in any grade and rare in UNC
