    Yeah I know but want to be 100% sure before I toss it. I know nothing about paper.

    Rest assured it is NOT genuine. The artificially aged paper is a good giveaway. Here is an example of the actual note. (Not my note)

    Yes, Steve's looks like the scarcer variety with darker red print.

    The copy is printed in all black, no red or pink tint.

    Collector and dealer in obsolete currency. Always buying all obsolete bank notes and scrip.

    Correct me if I'm wrong but I have heard that fake confederate notes that have black signatures are always fake. They always signed with colored inks whether it's brown, red etc.

    CSA notes with printed signatures are fakes. All genuine CSA notes are hand signed. You can tell if it's a printed signature by comparing the shade (of the signature) to the rest of the printed note. Most copies are printed and "signed" in the same black ink but genuine CSA notes can be signed in black ink.
