Are auctions all that will be left for nice coins?

Perusing Collector's Corner for a good varied listing of different coins available, more and more of the headings are being taken over by "BID NOW."
I can see how if a really quick and final sale is needed, then auction is about the only choice.
But it's sure getting prevalent.
This is especially evident in foreign listings.
Anything a step above common as dirt seems to be "Bid Now."

eBay has a lot of fixed price listings now so it may come down to auctions or eBay.

Not sure about other areas, but there's still a good mix of auction and fixed price listings for error coins, patterns and exonumia.

For some sneaky reason, I'm getting the impression that the exonumia and errors are substitutes for what collectors are really wanting to buy.
Yes, exo is cool. I have a few that I like.
But COINS are what I collect.

Well coin shops , coin clubs , coin shows ( perhaps virtual) antique shops, BST and much more sure hope not. James

I'm not sure I would judge anything by CC.

I had to laugh at this thread since people have repeatedly complained that Buy It Now has replaced auctions on eBay.

No one is ever happy. Lol.

The thing about exo and errors, is that prices are strong and going through the roof, like CAC for coins.

Non-CAC coins seem to be in the doldrums.

    Yes.
Ebay has a lot of auction coins turn up - some for for more and if lucky a few for lesser. I have been lucky to snag a few Morgans on there at 20-30$ over the auction prices and some for way lesser than what they went under the hammer.
