Head Smack! Ebay attempted Cancellation that will be a return.

This is for a certified 1901-S Barber Dime. Here is the buyers message:
I sorry, but, I am cancelling this coin order and or returning this coin for a refund; I need the Barber Quarter.
Do folks really think they can buy a $10,000 coin for $300 from an obviously established dealer on ebay?
Mulling over whether to do the block. Would you?

I've seen cases where people have bought coins from dealers for 1/10th the value and had them shipped. So yeah, it happens. Not often, but it does. I'd just let it go and block him if it happens again.
"It's like God, Family, Country, except Sticker, Plastic, Coin."
Every now and then you see a 20 cent piece listed as a quarter so mistakes listing and/or bidding on eBay happen, especially in the early morning hours during the weekend
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
I pretty much block any buyer that return item unless it is my fault.
I actually had someone do the opposite: cancel a quarter because he wanted a half.

One of my customers did this. Not to me, came in bragging he bought a choice 75-cc Seated quarter from like half price, He showed me the ebay listing, I said thats a 20c piece, he said oh? He requested cancellation from the seller stating he thought it was a quarter. "being a seller, I hated it for the seller having to deal with stupidity
Yep.
Depends on who pays the round trip postage. If the buyer pays the freight, I wouldn't block him. If he makes you pay the freight...

I'm almost willing to give you odds from the tone of his message he will do an SNAD. No way he's going to pay me the 8 bucks it cost me to ship it to him.
I had another recent one I'm still trying to decide. Sold him a coin for less than it was listed. Then pretty much demanded expedited shipping. Seemed all was well, feedback exchanged and then here comes the return request 2 weeks after he received it. I already bought one. On top of that got nasty expecting instant service message. Arrived at my Post Office on a Saturday. That evening another nasty message as to why I hadn't sent him a refund. For starters I rarely go to the Post Office on Saturday. The icing on the cake was when I pointed out to him the package wasn't made available for pickup until 5PM and my PO closes at 12PM on Saturday. Crickets after that! I had 4 or 5 messages throughout the transaction with a negative title so he would receive an instant response. He even told me that when I pointed it out.
Guess we all need some idiots or unreasonable folks to keep life interesting!
I've been the ignoramus at 3am who bought the wrong item. I never did the return thing though. After all, it was MY fault. I just resold the coin after it arrived. I took lumps, but it's alright. Not the end of the world.......
