Thank you for the video. The video answers the question. Powerful and could not get caught from behind. A terrific player in his prime. Great on the goal line too. Too bad on the biggest stage in the NFC title game against the Saints he fumbled 74 thousand times and Favre simply gave the game away. Those fumbles hurt his all time status. Adrian was a beast and in his prime too.

Yes, prime peterson was certainly a different animal, I remember when he tore his ACL then came back the next season and rushed for over 2,000 yards and won the MVP award, a beast!

AP is my guy, straight baller. But my pick is Henry...
Love the old backs and their speed and moves ( sanders, sayers etc..) but nothing beats handing the ball off to a bulldozer and watching what happens.
New question: Prime Henry or Prime Bettis?

what about Henry, Peterson or Earl Campbell?

He was a very similar type of back.

Check out this Earl Campbell run, he was a savage.

That would now be illegal. Using helmet as a weapon - 15 yards and automatically disqualified.

AP, he did it far longer than Henry has. His longevity at that level is what sets him apart.

I've thought about it and I would take Derrick Henry, big and powerful and that stiff arm is a nightmare.

This is one of those questions that’s simply a matter of choice, either one is not going to be wrong in my opinion.

AP obviously did it longer but both at their prime are beastly

That just defines the term “A very physical run”
