The CC and O are the ones with privy mark from the Philly mint.

Agree to a large extent, but it just may be so because it is inside the capsule. But you do have a very valid point because the burnished look gives it a sort of like ASE feel than the real deal. Will have to get it in hand and then judge.

If I remember correct, initially before the release date it had shown as Mintage Limit same as Product Limit and then subsequently changed with the HH limit on the release date (I think).

looking at mine I would say unlikely - I am torn on the finish. I get business strike but it almost has a burnished look to it. I suppose anything is possible tho - my 12 sample size is hardly definitive.

Follow up - received my last 4 today including Peace. They seem to all have the same finish tho the Peace seem to have less "texture" to them. not sure - cant wait to see the pop reports and see where this goes.

I still think they are pretty in their own right - just spent too much time looking at my old Morgans.... looking for the cartwheels.

I dodged a bullet, or maybe a hail of gunfire. A quick review turned up no major issues. The worst thing I found is one P Morgan with a couple blue threads (!?). I hate opening the capsules but I'll have to on that one.

The Peace Dollars are stunning. Most if the capsules had a layer of fuzz that I had to brush away to get a clean look at the coins.

There’s another thread with a picture of blue streak on a peace dollar and a blue thread punched in the coin. A Morgan. 😉
