    The reverse makes my Spidey senses tingle . I’ll go out on a limb and say VG Det Net G.

    Edited to add: So are those reverse hairlines on the coin or the slab?

    I'm guessing VG8.
    Strange that it looks to have nice old patina, but at the same time a lot of
    hairlines. Imaging? Surface issues on the plastic? Nicer in hand?

    how would you know if the die was freshly greased if the coin is worn to vg

    There's still die grease present around the stars, lettering, date, and the perimeter of Miss Liberty on the obverse. Kind of like pull-away toning you see on high grade toned examples that's just die grease that was pushed beyond the letters, stars, or numbers. So if any grease is present those areas will not tone. I've seen it on a few 1805's as that was the first major production date for quarters exceeding a few thousand to over 100K.

    Worst scratched PCGS slab I've ever seen... Not just heavily scuffed, but also deeply scratched. I polished it with Meguiar's and Novus... Then just opted to photograph through a thin layer of mineral oil.

    I’m having second thoughts about my guess. In the parts that are visible, there is a lot of detail in the shield and feathers. Did it make it into a VF20 holder?

    I figure it was graded on details not giving consideration to strike, grease, or otherwise. If concessions were made I would grade it higher than G6.

    Sorry for making y'all wait so long for the answer as this is in a newer pronged PCGS G-06 holder.

    The obverse has solid Fine 12 details and the reverse shield is weakly stuck.

    I like it. Nice coin. Admittedly I attributed most loss of design detail to a weak strike.
