I have seen various Thalers with a reference to Dav-xxx. Is there a chart or classification book I can see?

They're books. Do an internet search for "john davenport talers".

Thank you! I found and ordered some….
A couple of those are tough to find and expensive. A way around that which helps a bunch is to find one of the Davenport price guides(obviously way out of date) which aren't expensive. It fills in some gaps if you don't have a complete set of the books.
I found them on eBay….
If you are looking at specialty books, there are others, yet Davenport is a great place to start with. He did a great job in mapping European crowns.
TalerUniverse.com is a curated numismatic project dedicated to the silver talers, crowns, and medals of the Habsburg Empire and the Holy Roman Empire, spanning the 16th–18th centuries. The collection emphasizes historically significant issues, rare mint varieties, and high-grade NGC/PCGS examples, presented with detailed historical context, scholarly references, and high-resolution photography. TalerUniverse aims to serve both as a private collection showcase and a growing reference resource for collectors, researchers, and students of early-modern European coinage.
Yes, they are expensive like on Abebooks, but on eBay they were much less.
@Herb_T Here is an article on Davenport in case you want to check it out: https://coinweek.com/education/numismatic-history/crown-taler-man-reflections-dr-john-s-davenport/
There's a volume or 2 I would jump to pay that price on! Trying to remember which ones they are. I know 1 I'm missing is a buy at a couple hundred. Yeah, been a while since I looked at them.
