TalerUniverse.com is a curated numismatic project dedicated to the silver talers, crowns, and medals of the Habsburg Empire and the Holy Roman Empire, spanning the 16th–18th centuries. The collection emphasizes historically significant issues, rare mint varieties, and high-grade NGC/PCGS examples, presented with detailed historical context, scholarly references, and high-resolution photography. TalerUniverse aims to serve both as a private collection showcase and a growing reference resource for collectors, researchers, and students of early-modern European coinage.

What a great sale! If all auctions were like this, I'd be broke pretty quick.

And just about everything was already PCGS-graded. :)

All excellent additions. The Trautson talers are tough in any grade, but that Salzburg taler is really speaking to me. I think you did well at MDC. What was your experience with the auction house so far?

I'm always impressed buy the amount of detail they were able to strike into coins like those 300+ years ago. The hair detail is exceptional!

All I managed was one coin at MDC--and paid dearly for it.

I also picked up one coin at Gadoury.

Both previously graded at PCGS Paris, so it saves me grief.

Thanks! It's St. Michael slaying the dragon.

Yeah, King Norodom I of Cambodia is about as handsome as Sucre (though I will leave the ultimate determination up to @Stella!).

Way to go on the Mexican! I meant to ask you if you won it. Congrats!

That is the difference between a good and an epic or great collection... paying dearly.

@pruebas Perhaps we can discuss the reverse design instead to avoid hurting anyone's feelings. ;)

    Congratulations, @Zohar !
