1815 Capped Bust Quarter

EddiEddi Posts: 609 ✭✭✭✭✭

A lower grade 1815, I believe in F12 grade.
Would you say this is about right?

I’d say F12 is right, maybe F15. Looks pretty nice for the age.

Yep 12-15, and looks like she devoted a lot of her time serving commerce.

You may want to consider giving it a bath in acetone for the reverse shield and around the 25 C. It may be my computer screen but the crud looks a little green to me.

Other than that, great looking coin on a tough date.

Reminds me of a lot I bought on an online auction a couple years ago for about $250 including the juice. Still unslabbed/ungraded as the rest. I’d call mine an XF40? Yours looks like a fine 15. Nice coin. Bad thing is: it doesn’t fit into my type set album because it’s a one year size only, bigger than all the rest.

    I think it's a solid F15.

Agree F15, but a great coin for a fine. I would just keep forever and not be concerned with the grade. Nice scroll clash above date.

I'd say a solid F12, very nice looking, original, and for me the clash on the obverse adds to the appeal.
Do I see a clash on the reverse below the arrow nocks? A lot of history there.
