At the first coin show I ever attended, the Spring 1963 Central States show in downtown Chicago, I recall riding in the elevator with Q. David Bowers. He was already an extremely well known numismatic personality by that time.

I don't believe he travels much anymore.
He used to run with the likes of Alexander the Great & Julius Ceasar, it's about time he slowed down a bit.
I felt his presence, he is strong with the numismatic force
He has been to every ANA show from 1955-2019. His record of 65 consecutive shows will be very hard to ever break.
He was not there.
Eric Newman missed one?

Missed speaking with him.
I have always addressed him by Dave.
I've always called him Dave.
His dyslexic high school friends called him "Bowser"
Same here over many years/
I hope he is in good health. I cant think of a man who has contributed more to the hobby than Q. David Bowers.

I remember seeing him at the 1994 ANA show in Detroit.
Me too!
