    Live chat resolved everything on my accounts. And if you get an BS about them not be able to reprocess just try another rep.

    When they called me back and looked, they did not see any problems at all. :#

    Have to confirm all your cc info etc, and asked them to retry charging the order again. They did, so that was all they could try to do.

    When they did that, I went to my bank account and the pending charge for my one missing coin from my early order showed up, so now it is wait to see if it will ship. This clearly could be automated to avoid all the calls. Good luck.

    They just called me back about my order. I didn't even have to give her any updated info, other than confirm my identity. She said she was able to "release" my order. Seems like they should be able to resolve this without us calling in.

    Agreed, I am getting a "your call did not go through" message now. Can't even get to the initial recording. How were you able to leave a call back number?

    PS - I can't wait to take this survey they keep promising me after the call, whenever that is....

    Like a few others have said, you just have to punch the right numbers. I think I hot the one for "wanting to place an order". Maybe one? Then it asks you if you want a callback. My callback took several hours.

    Like a few others have said, you just have to punch the right numbers. I think I hot the one for "wanting to place an order". Maybe one? Then it asks you if you want a callback. My callback took several hours.

    Thanks. I have tried "2" and "0" with the same lack of results, usually a busy signal. This is my order for the four coin AGE set so I'm more than a little concerned.

    Thanks - I am FINALLY on hold with the much heralded muzak. Took 32 call attempts. Also got through on my wife's mobile (10th attempt) and she is on hold so we have the crappiest stereophonic elevator music in human history playing in our house right now.

    Are your heads bobbing up and down to that annoying beat. Then all of sudden the lady comes as says
    "thank you for calling, please hold for the next available representative"

    Reminds me of that episode when RIcky Jr. gets a drum set on I Love Lucy and plays that beat over and over again...

    1:16:17 and counting on my hold time. My wife's hold time is a couple minutes behind me.

    Trying to get on Chat too as one cannot have too much insurance when dealing with the USM.

    Its like trying to snag a v75 at 7:30am. BUT its faster then 3 hours on hold.

    Was on phone hold for a total of 2.5 hours, about 1.5 hours into the phone hold, I read this thread and tried live chat concurrently. 30 mins later I got an agent through live chat. Of course I still kept phone on hold mainly to jam out to the funky soul music while I chatted with live chat. Got my issue resolved and hung up the phone after 2.5 hours. I hope this does not happen for the Morgan/Peace dollar backorder in Oct/Nov. That hold music is gonna stick in my head for the next week.

    They suggested I call the main # to reprocess my cc.

    You can reach us 7 days a week from 8 a.m. to midnight ET

    7 hours... that may not be enough on hold time

    try the chat again...they should be able to help you. the agent I was typing with stated they were dealing with hundreds of these calls/chats today. I gave him the order numbers, verified some info and he pushed it right through. we'll see if it was effective in 24-48 hrs.

    You have to wait for the chat to come available. It's not much different than being on hold.

    In fact, I was watching both. Firing my 1st call, about an hour in the chat came avaliable. I started typing and it closed and went unavailable.

    The second time, I did use the chat which came available 2 hours and 30 minutes into my hold.

  • So it seems some had to give order numbers and some did not.
    Some gave credit card info and some did not.
    Some asked and got a reprocessing of the charge and some did not.
    Some confirmed just name and identifying details.

    Almost all were told it was "fixed", but none of us know whether they actually fixed the issue, nor any idea what the actual issue was.

    Yup, that's the Mint I know in my short exposure. Although the DMV, Postal Service, the IRS, and the State Dept are basically the same experience since the pandemic. Most private service businesses are almost as bad but not quite. Wonder if things will ever improve or terrible execution is our new normal permanently.

    I left a message and they called me back after 3 hours and they reran my cc and my order is back again.

    This is the first issue I have had with an order that went “backordered” since the mint “upgraded” their system after the privy cc and o Morgan’s were issued. Though the orders that were affected were not Morgan/Peace related, this still has everything to do with a customer’s order and the way the mint deals with their customers.

    I sincerely hope today is not an example of things to come. I hope this is not the tip of the iceberg once the thousands of Morgan/Peace dollars become available in October/November.

    I wonder who is more annoyed today?? The hundreds of customers this affected or the agents at the mint dealing with a fiasco that should have NEVER occurred!

    I have heard of people getting these emails, I haven't heard of this magnitude of these emails sent

    Well, the good news is that after 1.5 hours on hold they hung up on me..... now when I dial in and hit 0 to talk to a representative.... I just get a "your call did not go through, please try your call again". Perfect.... the mint is the best. They managed to make the phone as bad as the website

    I'm not surprised. this is virtually an entry-level job and they probably do not have great QC for these people's work.

    sounds like you and I got the same agent...Terrence B. at least we know there are two agents on shift today (1 competent and at least 1 incompetent). Those agents certainly earned their paycheck for today, I do not envy them.
