1922 No D Strong Reverse Die Number

This coin doesn't quite match what a die number two should like. What do you guys think it is?
Sorry for the bad photos, the slab is scratched up badly.

Die Pair #2:
• Absolutely no trace of a D
• Second 2 in date is sharper than the first 2.
• All letters in TRUST are sharp.
• WE is only slightly mushy.
• L in LIBERTY butts up against the rim.
• Reverse is sharp with nice wheat lines.

"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
I don’t like it. The second 2 is wrong, and in the first photo I think I see a very very faint trace of the D. Could this be a worn “Weak D”?
that's exactly what I was thinking, the 2 looks wrong.

The 2 is wrong. I suspect a removed mint mark.
Counterfeit?
Would you pair this 1919 with the OP coin ?

Maybe this will help.
Obverse
L seems to be wrapped or weak.
The number 2 well pronounced in the B.
The R is kicking a D mm
.
Scratches also look strange or suspect.

Not sure about the coin but have you considered fixing/removing the scratches from the holder?
No. Not counterfeit. The coin is real.
Altered, maybe.

Open her up is maybe the only course. Think how first .
