Can I get a little slab generation help? 1939 Cent PR65RD

The insert is blue but the reverse of slab looks older to me.

    Sorry, no idea on the slab. Nice coin! Are my eyes deceiving me or is the reverse slightly rotated?

    Have you tried the PCGS Coin Facts web site? They have a section that shows pics of every generation of PCGS slab with information about each slab style.

    Yes but the blue insert doesn’t seem to go with the reverse of this slab. I know there’s color variations and also transitional pieces too

    I'm gonna guess it's a 3.0

    Label should have been green but there is a note....

    The cert# before that one has an old auction photo showing it was green.
    So it just faded to the current blue color.
    I have seen more OGH holders fade to yellow vs blue.

    I agree 3.0 - no alignment pins anymore but doesn't have the "PCGS Copying Prohibited" reverse label yet
