Great score! I love the smell of silver in the morning. ;)

I think it's time for a family photo of all that silver. Why do I think you're going to need a wide angle lens. :)

What'd be the mindset/reason for someone to exchange a few half dollars for paper money? Or...did someone dumped a bag of coins onto the bank? Someone had to know those coin's significance to sort them out. But than again.....were there also a few dirty silver dimes and quarters to be had?

It always amazes me that some bank tellers don't know much about the coins they handle for a living! But good thing they don't :)

During times of "no lines" in the banks, I've had conversation with several tellers over the years. Many of them are "very" curious about "us" coin roll hunters/collectors. Basically, what we're doing and why we're doing it. For the ones that "really" showed an interest, I've volunteered a lot of general coin, silver, error, conditions and date information to them. They were quite amazed.

Most of them don't have an active interest or desire to collect... They see how passionate I am about it and surprisingly want to help.

I tried to explain/describe an album or coin sets. I could see on their faces that they couldn't visualize what I was talking about. I ask if they would like to see a couple of my albums? Their eyes lit up and said; sure!! So the next time I brought in a couple of my albums ( a Washington and Kennedy set), A couple of times I had the whole stinkin' bank,.. employees and managers looking at the albums in amazement!! They really enjoyed seeing the results of my hard work and how "they" helped contribute to it.

No, I wasn't afraid if giving away "our" trade SECRETS. It's all about establishing relationships.
