That buyer is buried in it big time. The seller must be thrilled. Sell them off.

You, like the rest of us, have no idea whether he's buried.

He paid at least 2x CAC CPG that’s good enough (high price) for me lol. Go buy it from him then. You have no idea he’s not.

His possibly worthless surmise is backed up by 35+ years of experience in, above other things, the high-end market and its price fluctuations. So his resume tends to be in alignment with my need for skepticism (which is waaay different than pessimism).

I've known more collectors than I can count who have been happy with coins at 2X "bid". Mark knows multiples of that.
I'm trying and failing to be non-judgmental. I can't help but note the schadenfreude of the cluelessly ignorant against the knowledgeably successful.

Like many sentient beings, I find myself often failing to meet my higher aspirations. I find myself lighting up a doobie, looking the mirror and sullenly muttering "I told you so". You actually don't need a doobie, just a mirror. o:)

Lofty psychological, ethical, moral and spiritual lessons aside, I just don't give as much credence to ignorant opinions as I do to educated ones.

I prefer a T-shirt reading the more intellectually honest "My two favorite teams are the Mets and whoever is playing the Yankees today".

edited to add: CAC bids are bids for generic "B" coins. For many issues, many coins that CAC grades that exceed the baseline for that grade by getting unofficial straight "A"'s is a potential "black swan" that occasionally takes flight based upon market (un)availability.

If you want be high buyer go for it. Not my cup of tea or acquisition / investment strategy.

Certainly it’s great for the seller (and auctioneer) getting way more than NN Coin Mkt of $3000. However everybody knows the ball bounces both ways on auctions.
