A re-grade question

When re-grade coins, if a coin is viewed as AT, will PCGS simply put the original grade back or PCGS will tell graders that it passed the AT test before so that they have to assign a grade to compare with the original grade? or ??????

    If a coin comes into the regrade process that is clearly AT, we will compensate the submitter under the terms of our grading guarantee.

    First of all, what is AT? I'm new to coin collecting and terms.

    Second, if I have a coin that was graded without the attribute PL, would PCGS add it as long as I pay the fee? I guess there is a chance they won't add it and still charge me just for looking at it. Am I right? Third, looking at this coin, does it look like it is worth submitting it to PCGS so they can add the PL attribute?

    Artificial Toning is what AT stands for.
    The coin you are looking at was recently graded by PCGS and at their current standards.
    Very good chance if they thought it was PL it would be on the holder.
    It is not a coin I would spend the money to send back to PCGS.

    You can still send it in if you wish.
