Changing my chertypicking

I use to get every 2 feather buff i could find and afford. I just passed on a 2 feather 1925-s in good on ebay because i already have 2 in about that same condition and the price was close to retail. Maybe im becoming a collector of varieties!!!! I have done shield nickles in the past and might start again. I have been searching for fs jeffs in hard to find dates. They are harder than 2 feather buffs. I am also looking at large cents. Any other suggestions?

My specialty, two cent varieties. Just don't bid against me!
Large cents can be fun.
Since you are already scouting Jeffersons, why not give the many varieties in that series a study?
I am mainly looking at Shield nickels and 3 cent silvers right now, with occasional bored forays into Indian cents. Honestly I am targeting sellers more than categories on eBay right now, focusing on listings with good pictures and no attributions has been way more fruitful than cruising general listings.

Well i have Howard Spindels SNV software for shield nickles I think there are 500+
varieties which incluses DDO , DDR, RPD, MISSING LEAFS, MISSING PARTS OF LETTERS and counterfeit s. I target certain dealers at coin shows where i have cherried before. A few have wised up and now have attributed coins in their cases. I guess I will be buying another reference book once I decide where I am going.
As far as the jefferson varieties I already have found 2 1942d over horizontal d, many rpms, 1939 ddr and my very first cherry was the 1939 qdr.
Many of the 2F on ebay are badly overpriced. Most should still be cherrypickable at shows. You are in for a gargantuan task with the Shield nickel varieties.
What reference would be good for large cents?
I am still going to be looking for buffalo varieties, shield varieties and jeffersons.
I can't tell you a reference for the large cents. Sorry! But I wish you the best of luck on the nickel varieties.
