Schmidt RC vs. 1959-64 Mantle vs. 1956 Jackie...

I’m currently shopping for and comparing the following cards:

1973 Mike Schmidt RC - PSA 6
1959 or 1960 Mickey Mantle - PSA 4
1961, 1963 or 1964 Mickey Mantle - PSA 5
1956 Jackie Robinson - PSA 3

Assuming centering is comparable and the price is more or less the same, which one of these seven would you target? Not looking to flip - long term investment.

For Schmidt, it’s a HOF RC and the highest grade. Mantle is Mantle...similar grade to Schmidt, icon, etc. Jackie...similar, cultural significance, oldest card of all. Interested in others’ thoughts...

    Of those, my vote would be for the 59 or 60 Mantle with the highest eye appeal you can get for the grade (i.e. great centering).

    Not a huge fan of the look of 61s or 64s. 63s are nice but I personally prefer those to be in the 6 range or higher. I also prefer the 55 Jackie over the 56.

    Not trying to sway, but I have a 56 Jackie psa 3 on its way back from Newport beach now. It will be a high end looking 3, as I thought it would get a 4. Let me know if you decide to go that route and would like me to send you pictures of it. I've been buying a lot recently so I may sell it.

    I cannot hit curveball. Straightball I hit it very much. Curveball, bats are afraid.

    RCs sell well, and Schmidt was one of the best 3B of all-time. He has my vote plus it would be the highest graded of the players considered.

    Millenials today dont know Schidmt as they do Mantle/Jackie. Probably generation after that will know even less Schidmt so on and so forth..

    Buy whatever card brings you the most enjoyment. If you’re truly looking to invest, put it in the stock market.

    Sound advice. “Investment” was probably not the best choice of words. Enjoyment that exceeds logging into a ML or Fidelity app shouldn’t be a high bar to clear...especially after last week. :)
