Very rare note, has anyone else seen others from ths block?

I only see one 1928D $2 D-A mule in the PMG population report. It’s graded AU55.

Really great note!

The note is in fact unique. At least for now. The PMG 55 in their pop report was a labeling error. That note is not a mule.

I won the note. Had to have it. Definitely a lot of money to pay but can you imagine the money that would bring if it had been a one of a kind coin? Probably seven figures!

Excuse my ignorance as I'm still learning about US currency & trying to wrap my mind around all these intricate "sub-species" such as mules & such & such block. Can someone explain why this "D-A mule" $2 note sold on HA for so much & is so rare/special? (thanks in advance!)

Okay (thanks) & the "mules" are notes with different backplates (from older series, right?)
How can one tell that HA note is really a mule?
I've seen some notes with what seems like a high BPN to me but then I've seen some members here claim that these TPG notes really aren't mules (even though they have been ascribed as such).

Series 1928D $2 mules use a micro back plate number (288 or lower) and are actually 1928D faces on 1928C backs.

Interesting. So mules for the 1928D have BPN -that are smaller than usual & lower than 289? Right?

(In order to know whether a particular banknote is actually a "mule" one must know the threshold of the BPN's for each denomination & series?) Sometimes BPN are higher, some are lower, it all depends on which note were discussing.
