I've had this one for years in a "INB certified" which I assume is a self slabber. Anyways is there anything special about this one,
or should I crack it out and stick it in an album? Not asking because I think the slab is graded correctly....what a laugh.
But, just sell it as is? I don't really have an album anymore and only have 2 graded ones. Didn't want to have a "rare"
variety pass me by
And slab says clad
PS. yes, I looked it up and it gives me migraines.
Thanks so much in advance.

This one does not belong to an attributable variety. 73S clad proofs are devoid of varieties that I am aware of. 73S silver proofs do have a few varieties, none of which are apparent here.

TYVM. I saw on flea bay this as key date? I don’t see it worth more than silver clad, right?

At one time these did have a premium attached to them. In 1973 when the clad proofs were included in the proof sets, not many people bought the 40% Silver coin at $10 each making the 1973 Silver the lowest mintage of the Silver Proof Brown Box IKE.
Thanks

it looks like it could be a silver clad ($15) rather than nickel clad ($3)
as djm stated, there was a time shortly after issue when the 1973-S Silver Clad Dollars had a high premium, selling for over $100. that price settled back but the Brown Box 1973 still has a premium over the other dates. my old boss told me that during that time there was a scam going on that buyers had to beware of --- people would crack open the the cases and replace the Silver with a CuNi clad, then re-sealing the case.
that turned a $10 coin into a $100 coin and you retained the Silver.
--- I disagree with davewesen, I see your coin as a CuNi clad.
I guess the big question is did the slabber get it wrong and is this silver or truly clad.
